About this study

ENTBioMech brings together ENT surgeons, scientists, and engineers to study nasal airflow and Empty Nose Syndrome (ENS) using CT-based 3D models and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

What you submit: CT DICOM images only; no clinic letters or reports.

Anonymisation: Obvious identifiers in standard DICOM header tags are removed. Images that appear to contain visible labels or overlays are screened and excluded automatically.

Security: Data is transferred via encrypted connections and stored on secure University systems accessible only to the approved research team.

We use CFD to explore airflow patterns and ENS symptom relationships.

Scans are grouped as pre-operative, post-operative, post-treatment to study surgical impact.

Survey responses are linked only using your participant code.
